And the BATTLE of the SNOW WHITES CONTINUE!!!

Relativity Moves Up Snow White Film to March to Beat Universal

(Who says they CAN beat SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN???! THEY CAN'T BEAT IT! HAHAHA!)

Not to be outdone by Universal, Relativity Media has moved up its untitled Brothers Grimm: Snow White movie to March 16, 2012. The switch-up comes only days after Universal boldly slotted its Show White film to open just before Relativity’s film.
Relativity’s Snow White will now debut in theaters on March 16, 2012, instead of June 29, 2012. March is a lucrative frame for family-friendly fare, such as Relativity’s Snow White, starring Julia Roberts, Lily Collins and Armie Hammer.
Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman is set to open June 1, 2012. Universal had original planned to open the movie in December 2012, and caught Relativity off guard when throwing down the gauntlet and moving up the release date.
Not that the two films will necessarily appeal to the same exact audiences; Snow White and the Huntsman, staring Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth, is a darker retelling of the classic fairy tale.
And lobbing its own shot at Universal, Relativity announced it will open Safe Haven, based on the Nicholas Sparks novel, on June 1, 2012—the same date as Snow White.
Relativity also dated Phillip Noyce’s Hunter Killer, which rolls out in theaters on Dec. 21, 2012.

thefablife.com: The Race To For The First Snow White Movie Is On!

There are going to be severed dwarf limbs littering the forest if the dueling Snow White movies get their way. Days after Universal scheduled Snow White and the Huntsman to open weeks before Relativity Media’s Brothers Grimm: Snow White hit theaters, Relativity has scooted their take on the fairy tale up to March 16, 2012. So this must be what it feels like to hold a poison apple in your evil sorceress hand. Metaphorically speaking.
Not that Snow White and the Huntsman should climb into the glass coffin just yet; the films aren’t even really vying for the same audience. While the Lily Collin’s Brothers Grimm: Snow White film is an action comedy co-starring Armie Hammer and a gang of warrior dwarves, Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and the Huntsman is a dark take on the classic tale. Which one will be better? Check in next week, when the competing studios will most likely release both of them in fairy tale film battle to the death.
